I spent a good three hours at Ikea today (an adults version of Disneyland!) I also had a "first" there..someone stole my cart.
For real! My cart with EVERYTHING in it..including my own bag! I was chapped to say the least! I had to go find another cart, and go through the whole store again to grab all the items I needed. Let alone, my dang bag was gone. I spoke with an Ikea employee and apparently this happens all the time, where someone will snag a person's cart and dump all the stuff out in a different department.
After I went to go back and grab the products for a second time (while keeping a clear eye out for someone who may have stolen my cart) I found my cart! In like 3 departments over..just sitting there. It's the small victories I tell you! I got my bag back! I was desperate for this bag because it holds all my tippyknits creations!
I was super successful this Ikea trip and fairly budget friendly. But the big inspiration came from the purchase of new bed pillows for Chris and I. We needed new pillows, ours were getting super flat and non-supportive..but Remi LOVES them because they squish like nobody's business.
I had an idea while creeping through the textile section of Ikea. Why not create a new bed for Remi with those old pillows!? So I grabbed about 1.45 m of this rad fabric and decided to head home.

Then I sewed the two pillows together.
Make sure when sewing that it's turned inside out, measure and pin!
I love using my old Singer 301. She goes forwards and backwards and weighs about 16lbs! But she rocks!
I added some buttons so I can take the cover off and wash it when we have muddy paws and hair.
Best of all, I think I made a winner because Remi just LOVES it!
